F-C 2025: Individualized Quality Control Plan – IQCP: It’s Not a Four-Letter Word

All laboratory personnel from a laboratory that participated in the F-C 2025 Mycology Surveys program.

Description
Staff from laboratories participating in the F-C 2025 Mycology Surveys program can individually earn CE credit by reading the Participant Summary (mailed to the institution or accessed online) and answering online learning assessment questions. The online learning assessment questions are designed to reinforce concepts and discussion points presented in the reading.

Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Describe the components of an Individualized Quality Control Plan (IQCP).
  2. Differentiate microbiology tests that are eligible for IQCP and those that are not.
  3. Describe the regulatory requirements of an IQCP.
  4. List an advantage of the use of IQCP compared to CLIA default QC.

CE (Continuing Education for nonphysicians): The CAP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 credit(s) of continuing education. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
