Intended Audience
The Engaged Leadership Academy activity is intended for all active CAP members.


Description
The Engaged Leadership Academy (ELA) is a strategic communications and leadership program provided by the CAP to foster pathology leaders. ELA leaders possess the skills, tools, and confidence to be front and center in their health care settings and to engage their clinical colleagues, administrators, government agencies, and advocacy groups for the benefit of pathology and the patient.

Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Craft and hone a message for a variety of audiences including patients, colleagues, elected officials, community groups, the media, regulators etc. in order to increase communications effectiveness related to pathology information.
  2. Improve public speaking skills.
  3. Advocate on behalf of themselves and the profession of pathology.
