Description
Staff from laboratories participating in the CGL-A 2024 Coagulation (Limited) Surveys program can individually earn CE credit by reading the Participant Summary (mailed to the institution or accessed online) and answering online learning assessment questions. The online learning assessment questions are designed to reinforce concepts and discussion points presented in the reading.
Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:
- Define the utility of intravenous (IV) direct thrombin inhibitors (DTI).
- List available assays for IV DTI monitoring, and their pros and cons.
- List coagulation tests that are affected by DTI.
- Define goals of DTI monitoring, including available therapeutic ranges.
