Intended Audience
This activity is intended for practicing pathologists with a current or future focus on prostate disease testing, monitoring, diagnosing, and reporting.


Description
In this activity, you will assign a Gleason Score to some challenging tumors such as small foci, multifocal tumors and multiple adenocarcinoma variants and other carcinomas. In addition, one challenge many general pathologists face is undergrading which can lead to incorrect treatment. This activity will also focus on how to grade and report these tumors effectively in the context of needle biopsy and radical prostatectomies.

Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  • Assign a Gleason score to challenging tumors including small foci tumors, multifocal tumors, and multiple adenocarcinoma variants and other carcinomas.
