Starting December 28, 2024, non-pathologist physicians and laboratory professionals seeking to qualify as CLIA Directors of moderate or high complexity laboratories will be required to complete 20 CME/CEU credits on the responsibilities of the laboratory director. Experience and educational requirements also apply to qualify as a laboratory director; details available in 42 CFR 493, Subpart M.*
