Description
Starting December 28, 2024, non-pathologist physicians and laboratory professionals seeking to qualify as CLIA Directors of moderate or high complexity laboratories will be required to complete 20 CME/CEU credits on the responsibilities of the laboratory director. Objectives
After completing this program, you should be able to:

1. Understand change management principles, strategic planning tools, and data analysis to improve laboratory operations, justify resource needs, and enhance productivity.
2. Implement effective communication strategies, teamwork principles, and leadership roles to facilitate collaboration, influence decision-making, and manage interpersonal issues within the laboratory setting.
3. Understand the responsibilities of a laboratory director in all phases of laboratory testing, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes.
4. Implement quality management programs, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance measures to ensure safe, efficient, and legally compliant laboratory operations.
