This activity is intended for practicing pathologists with a current or future focus on prostate disease testing, monitoring, diagnosing, and reporting.

Description
In this activity, you will learn how different treatments can have profound effects on benign tissue and cancer morphology. This activity will also focus on the effects that radiation, androgen ablation, and other therapies have on prostate specimens so that you can make an effective decision regarding Gleason scoring.

Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Define the effects that treatments, such as radiation and androgen ablation therapies, have on prostate cancer morphology.
  2. Describe how the effects of treatments impact Gleason score assignments.
