Intended Audience
This live-streamed webinar activity is intended for practicing pathologists in community practice or non-academic settings who want to know more about effective reporting in prostate cancer.
Description
Clinicians rely on pathology reports to determine how to proceed with tumor management. It’s crucial for these reports to be both accurate and relevant, so clinicians have necessary information to make informed decisions.
After completing this activity, you should understand how information in pathology reports influences overall tumor management among patients with prostate cancer and be able to provide meaningful information when reporting.
This activity includes two components: the prework online activity and the live-streamed webinar.
Prework Online Activity
The prework online activity will prepare you for the interactive experience during the live webinar. Included within the prework are pre-recorded lectures from multidisciplinary faculty, including pathologists and a urologist. Using case examples, they will share insights on the information needed in the pathology report and how clinicians use this information to determine tumor management for patients with prostate cancer.
Questions and an evaluation are also included within the online activity.
Live-Streamed Webinar
In the live-streamed webinar, the same multidisciplinary faculty will walk through cases and discuss what information to include in the pathology report and how it’s used to inform decisions. Participants will have opportunities to interact with faculty.
Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:
- Understand how information in pathology reports influences overall tumor management among patients with prostate cancer.
- Provide meaningful information when reporting.
