Do you have an idea for a new educational course? If so, we want to work with you
Use your proficiency and expertise as a pathologist to prepare others for success by helping them keep their scientific knowledge and diagnostic skills current. By working with the College of American Pathologists (CAP) to create new courses, you can broaden your influence within pathology, share your wisdom with your peers, improve patient care, and contribute to others’ professional development.
Partner with the pathologist organization that wants you to succeed
The CAP offers highly respected continuing medical education (CME) courses to advance the science of pathology and improve patient care—courses which originate with pathologists. With high commendations for our education production from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the CAP can offer instructional design and support services to help you use your knowledge to create new CME content.
How do I get started?
It’s never been easier to realize your vision for a CME course with the CAP. After you complete the Education Initial Intake and Scoping form, the CAP Learning team will work with you to draft a course proposal. This draft proposal will go to the Learning Portfolio Sub-Committee (LPSC) of the CAP’s Council on Education (COE) for review. If approved, the CAP Learning team will work with you to finalize your proposal for COE final review. More detailed information about the process can be found here.
Help expand the frontiers of pathology with your course idea. Contact the CAP at eduproposals@cap.org or download the new education scoping form (.docx, downloads the document) to get started today.
