Description
This activity provides a high level view to the design, architecture, and functionality of various information systems in anatomic and clinical pathology laboratories.
Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:
- List the major functions of Laboratory Information Systems (LISs).
- Describe the roles of dictionaries and worksheets in LISs.
- Explain how LISs are central to data management and operations in the laboratory.
- Contrast the key differences between clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology LISs.
